About Bibi
Recognized for being abundantly creative, Bibi is one of New Jersey’s extraordinarily gifted custom designers specializing in exquisite residential and commercial, interior/exterior designs. With over 100 additional designs for both kids and adults she introduces a fresh new concept and her work has been described as elegant, distinctive, exceptional and unparalleled. With an eye for style and individuality she attractively incorporates accessories such as ropes, chains, fabrics, mirrors and more into her designs making them unusually interesting and appealing.
She graduated from one of New York’s top Universities and incorporates what she learned with her ability to beautifully make any space stand out exclusively. With her tremendous amount of experience, which began during her childhood, she handles high-end residential and commercial projects and will make you change the way you view your space.
Bibi was born in Uganda though raised in both Kenya and Ethiopia for eighteen years before moving to the United States where she lived in Boston, New Jersey and New York for school and work. In addition to her international up bringing and multi cultural background, her cross continental experiences have contributed in molding her to be who she has become today.
From childhood, growing up in Africa, her father often traveled internationally for work for many years often bringing back beautiful, exotic souvenirs from all around the world including other countries in Africa. Unfortunately, because they were individually different, they rarely matched their surroundings so Bibi, who loved them though unsatisfied with their placement, often rearranged them tirelessly to not only fit beautifully, but also be truly appreciated collectively and individually. She also invited and appreciated constructive criticism from her family because she knew that they were grounds for improvement and as a perfectionist then and now she is still her own toughest critic.
In high school Bibi was often complimented on her style and clothing coordination, which she embodied interestingly and that was what ultimately led her to study fashion design in both Boston and New York City. She graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City where she thereafter worked in the industry, but never felt satisfied. Her return to her home in Plainsboro, New Jersey became the beginning of her ultimate discovery where she accidentally stumbled upon a thrilling surprise that she now calls her strongest crush.
Unexpectedly, while casually painting a room in her house, her mind began wondering and her creative juices started flowing eventually seeping out onto the walls. That soon led to her very first wall design resulting in a stunning success. Happy with the results Bibi decided to be equally or more creative with the next project and it was during that project that she experienced something surreal. That was the moment where, while in the midst of designing the wall, out of nowhere, she was jolted by an outer body experience where the words, ‘THIS IS MY PASSION’ suddenly rolled off her tongue; ‘like an unexpected belch’ as she says.
Having never experienced anything like that before, it was an extremely profound, life changing moment that she identified; and from then forward she began chasing her passion and is now making others as happy as she was and feel as great as she did that moment. Bibi successfully dresses up their walls in an executive manner with no compromise because THIS IS HER PASSION.
